Web Accessibility Notice
This accessibility statement applies to the website tickets.muk.de.
Hansestadt Lübeck, BgA MuK operates this website and is committed to making it accessible in accordance with the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG).
The webshop is based on a technical platform that is provided and maintained by white label eCommerce GmbH.
Description of the Service
Our online service is a publicly available webshop where you can purchase tickets for events.
Payment can be made digitally, via bank transfer, direct debit, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. After payment has been received, you will receive your tickets by email and as a download.
The available payment methods, shipping methods, and ticket formats may vary depending on the event.
Level of Accessibility Compliance
This website is mostly compliant with the accessibility requirements under the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG).
The requirements are based on the European standard EN 301 549, which refers to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
The current assessment of the websites compliance is based on an evaluation against these criteria.
Accessibility Limitations
The accessibility evaluation of our webshop has not yet been completed. The issues mentioned in this statement refer to barriers identified as at the current date of this statement. Additional accessibility issues may be identified as the review progresses.
This statement will be updated as new findings become available or known issues are resolved.
- Keyboard navigation and focus visibility:
The webshop – in particular [the seating plan], the checkout process, and the customer account – is not yet fully operable via keyboard. In many cases, the keyboard focus is not visible on interactive elements.
Alternative: Tickets can also be selected without using the seating plan by accessing the booking module on the respective event page. - PDF documents:
All PDF documents provided on the website are not fully accessible yet. For example, they lack structured tags, which impairs usage with screen readers.
Alternative: If you have selected PDF-format tickets, we also provide mobile tickets via a link in the payment confirmation. - Form fields and controls:
On various pages, form fields and buttons are not yet correctly labelled or technically implemented in a way that enables proper recognition by screen readers. - Images without alternative text:
The cookie icon in the footer does not yet contain alternative text, which limits screen reader accessibility. However, this element is not essential for completing a ticket purchase. - Colour contrast:
The colour contrast of inactive buttons and certain text elements on various pages does not yet meet the required accessibility standards for readability. Inactive buttons are non-functional and become accessible with compliant contrast once activated. - Display with high zoom:
At 200% zoom, longer texts in modal windows still cannot be scrolled. As a result, some content may not be fully readable. These modals provide contextual information but are not essential for completing a ticket purchase.
The barriers described above relate to technical components of the underlying webshop system. The causes may differ on a case-by-case basis.
Implementation of accessibility improvements by the technical provider has not yet been completed for operational reasons and is intended for a later stage.
