House Rules

By entering or using the LMuK building, event visitors, other persons and the tenant accept these LMuK house rules.

1. Lübecker Musik- und Kongreßhallen GmbH (LMuK) exercises its domiciliary rights vis-à-vis the tenant, event visitors and third parties. The instructions of LMuK employees and agents must be followed immediately. Only event visitors and guests of the lessor are permitted to stay in the assembly venue. Spectators/visitors must take the seat specified on the ticket for the respective event and use only the designated entrances. The ticket loses its validity upon leaving the venue.

2. All facilities at the venue must be used with care and consideration. Within the venue, everyone must behave in such a way that no one else is harmed, endangered or – more than is unavoidable under the circumstances – obstructed or harassed.

3. Smoking and/or open fires on the stage or in the entrances and exits, as well as in corridors and rehearsal rooms, are prohibited. This also applies to electronic smoking substitutes (electronic cigarettes, etc.). In general, the use of fireworks and pyrotechnic materials is prohibited in the rooms of the music and congress halls. Exceptions for stage events are only possible after prior consultation with the LMuK.

4. For safety reasons, the LMuK may order the closure of rooms, buildings and open spaces and their evacuation. All persons present in the assembly hall and on the premises must immediately comply with the instructions of the LMuK or the security service, the police and the fire brigade and leave the assembly hall immediately in the event of an evacuation order. Corridors, emergency exits, fire extinguishing equipment and fire alarms must be freely accessible at all times. Unauthorised use of fire alarm systems or fire extinguishing equipment or tampering with them is prohibited. False alarms to the fire brigade are subject to a charge. The person responsible or the tenant is liable for this. Escape routes, exit doors, emergency exits and their markings must not be blocked, covered or otherwise made unrecognisable. Corridors must not be obstructed at any time by objects that have been left there or that protrude into the corridor. All corridors serve as escape routes in the event of danger. In order to avert danger, visitors are obliged to follow the instructions of the police or the security and order service and take seats other than those designated or noted on their admission tickets, even in other blocks. In such cases, admission fees will not be refunded.

5. The building services equipment may only be operated by LMuK staff.

6. Photography, radio, television and sound recordings require the approval of the respective organiser or LMuK. Commercial photography requires the prior written consent of the organiser or tenant and LMuK. There is no legal entitlement to the granting of consent. This does not apply to current reporting.

7. If photographs, film and/or video recordings are made in the area of the assembly venue by employees of LMuK, by the organiser or tenant or by commissioned companies for the purpose of current reporting, the recording activity must not be hindered or impaired in any other way.

8. Express reference is hereby made to compliance with legal provisions and regulations, in particular the Youth Protection Act, the Assembly Venue and Fire Protection Ordinance. Young people who have not yet reached the age of 14 may only be present in the venue if accompanied by a parent or guardian. In all other respects, the provisions of the Youth Protection Act apply. Exceptions only apply if expressly posted at the ticket offices and entrance areas.

9. The tenant/user is obliged to observe and comply with the legal provisions and/or official and/or other regulations on the separation of paper/cardboard, glass and residual waste in the rented property.

10. Persons who are recognisably under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be excluded from the event.

11. LMuK may issue bans from the premises. These apply to all current and future events held at the venue. To have the ban lifted, a written application with reasons must be submitted, which will be decided on by LMuK within three months.

12. Any personal injury and/or property damage that occurs during the event must be reported immediately to the organiser (tenant) or the LMuK operating staff. Personal injury and/or property damage reported at a later date will not be recognised. Visitors are advised that music events may cause damage to their hearing. To reduce the risk of damage, we particularly recommend wearing earplugs or similar hearing protection.

13. Use of the cloakroom is compulsory. For security reasons, coats, jackets, umbrellas, walking sticks and similar items must be handed in at the specially designated and clearly marked cloakrooms in return for the respective cloakroom fee.

14. Lost property must be handed in to LMuK or its operating staff. Suspicious objects must be reported immediately to LMuK, if necessary via the security staff.

15. It is prohibited to carry the following items:
• Weapons or dangerous objects, as well as items that could cause bodily harm if thrown,
• Gas spray cans, corrosive or staining substances, or pressure containers for highly flammable or harmful gases, with the exception of commercially available pocket lighters,
• Containers made of breakable or splintering material,
• Fireworks, rockets, Bengal fires, smoke powder, flares and other pyrotechnic items,
• Flags or banner poles that are not made of wood, are longer than 2 m or have a diameter greater than 3 cm,
• Large banners, large quantities of paper, rolls of wallpaper,
• Mechanically and electrically operated noise-making instruments,
• Drugs,
• Animals,
• Racist, xenophobic and radical propaganda material and/or
• Video cameras or other sound or image recording devices for commercial use (unless the organiser has given their consent).
• Bringing and/or consuming food and/or beverages in the LMuK concert hall is prohibited.

16. Distributing advertising material in and in front of the buildings is prohibited. Distribution for ongoing events may be permitted by LMuK. In all other cases, LMuK reserves the right to take further legal action, in particular to charge the necessary cleaning costs for the removal of the advertising material. Liability lies with the person(s) distributing the material and/or the beneficiary of the advertising named in the advertising medium.

17. These house rules are valid until revoked by LMuK.
